About Us

Drew Barber is the principal of DMB Risk Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in providing software and data solutions for the Risk, Claims, Insurance and Safety Professional. 

Prior to starting his consulting firm in 2008, Mr. Barber served as the Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) Practice Leader for Wachovia Insurance Services (WIS) where he formulated their RMIS strategy and developed a number of applications used for data consolidation, auditing, benchmarking and financial reporting purposes.  He has over 20 years of data and risk management experience with other major brokers and insurance companies, including Marsh, the Hartford and Royal & SunAlliance. 

His risk management expertise includes risk control, performance management, financial allocation, metrics analysis and claims management.  His database expertise includes applications in MySQL, MS SQL, MS Access and Lotus environments.   Programming/ scripting languages include Visual Basic, C++, PHP, Javascript and HTML.

Mr. Barber holds an M.B.A. from Fordham University with concentrations in Finance and Management and a B.S. from Stonybrook University in Mechanical Engineering.
